The given area goes from the village of San Donnino to the banks of the Arno river, where it extends linearly for a long stretch that connects the extreme development of the city of Florence to the residual territorial environments of the Florentine Plain. The A1 highway runs aside and divides the territory in two parts. At the center of the area stands the former San Donnino Incinerator. Students are asked to both preserve and reinterpret it for a dramatically unexpected
reuse and occupation.
