Fish In a Barrel was my team's submission to the California Polytechnic University San Luis Obispo's annual Design Village. The Design Village gives students the first opportunity to build a project from concept through execution. Teams design, build, transport, assemble, inhabit, and then disassemble a temporary shelter in Poly Canyon above campus. My team was tasked with incorporating large spice barrels from a local distributor into our design. Our solution was a series of intersecting planes, with the barrels acting as shingles, creating a dramatic sawtooth effect offset with the softer canvas stretch across the openings.
